Pick mangoes, bush lemons, and star fruit and watch wallabies roam the five acres around this organically converted former art studio. Inside, the original wood detailing, feature tin wall, and wood-burning stove all add to the romantic ambience.
The Space
The Art Shed is contemporary & creative. It has been converted organically, retaining original wood and a feature tin wall behind the chimney of the wood stove. The Art Shed includes a king bed, a spacious bathroom, a living area with 3 metre ceilings, sofa and dining table. The french doors open onto an open deck with table and chairs for al fresco dining or a glass of wine at sunset. On the north facing side, is another covered & spacious deck, with two Adirondack chairs facing the mango tree - just the place to enjoy the morning sunshine with cup of tea, with visiting birds and wallabies. In the evenings, it's a lovely place to light the fire under the stars.
Please open the gate outwards (leave a car space in front of you) when you arrive and shut it behind you. We have a tame horse (Shanika) who roams the property. Drive up the driveway past the main house right to the top (gun it a bit at the top, it gets steep just before the parking area) where you will find the the Art Shed with ample parking right outside. You will have private access to the Art Shed with your own key.
If the fruit trees are in season please feel free to help yourself to mandarins, mangos, bush lemons and star fruit.
At some point you may be greeted by our very friendly old golden retriever, Monty. He loves attention but you are equally free to ignore him and he will not bother you.
If you would like to bring your dog please ask. Generally it won't be a problem. It is a great area for dog walking and cycling.
We live in a separate residence on the property so will be around to answer any questions via text. We can recommend restaurants, beaches, mountain walks etc. and can be contacted by phone, text, or email.
Nestled in the lush Noosa Hinterland, the home is in a tranquil and absolutely beautiful location between Point Glorious and the equally glorious Mount Eerwah. It’s a short drive to the famous Eumundi Markets, or head a little further to the beaches of Noosa.
We will provide some basics to get you started such as:
Tea, coffee, milk, sugar, granola.
Salt & pepper, olive oil.
Shampoo, conditioner & soap.
The galley kitchen is well stocked with cutlery, pots and pans and cooking utensils. It contains a microwave, a bar fridge, a two ring electric hob, a kettle, toaster and a mini bake and grill oven.
The space was formerly our art studio. We have easels and art supplies which you are welcome to use so you can let you artist flair go wild. We have a selection of small canvases, papers, paints, charcoal and artists pencils.
